Moving Between Time Periods

Whether it's a day, week, month, or year, a time period is always one page of a calendar view. The period displayed in each of the calendar views can be changed using the left/right arrow navigation buttons on the toolbar, the Today's Date button (to adjust to today's date), or the Select a Date button (to adjust to a specific time).

To move between time periods using left/right arrow navigation buttons:

  • Click img to view the prior time period. Click img to advance to the next time period.

To move between time periods using Select a Date:

  • Click img and the calendar view will adjust to display today's date.

Note: Select a Date is only active when one of the calendar views is in the active screen.

To move between time periods using Select a Date:

  1. Click img and the Select a Date dialog box displays. (This button also displays on other Calendar Creator dialog boxes.)
  2. To move to a specific time, use the Advance By field located above the displayed calendar. Indicate the number of increments by which you'd like to move the date as well as the time periods you wish to move by. If, for example, 4 is the number of increments you want, and weeks is the time period, then you can instantly advance your calendar by 4 weeks.

Note: Select a Date is only active when one of the calendar views is in the active screen.

The calendar display automatically updates when you select a time period, so make sure you select the number first, then the time period. Alternatively, you can click on any date in the small calendar to change the display. The single arrows (< >) move the small calendar forward or backward one month at a time. The double arrows move it year to year.

If Calendar Creator is set to view one page at a time and your calendar exceeds one page, img can be used to shift your page view. This option can be selected by accessing Preferences under the File menu, and de-selecting the Show all pages together option.
