Activity 21 - Alpha, Numeric, and Symbol Keys

As students become more advanced, create lesson files that include the alpha, numeric, and symbol keys. Refer to almanacs for sports statistics, great events, science and technology facts, etc.

This type of lesson works best in the Classroom environment. Since it is often laborious, it is important students enjoy the material they are typing. Baseball statistics are often much more appealing to a student ballplayer than the gross national product of a foreign country. Let each student choose and create his or her own materials—then watch them soar! One example of this activity follows:
