Basic Shapes

Basic shapes geometries are being introduced in DesignCAD to enhance its drawing and modeling capabilities. Users can draw these by defining parameters for each shape, allowing precise control over its dimensions for accurate shape construction. These fundamental shapes provide a solid foundation for various design applications, making geometric drafting more efficient and intuitive within DesignCAD. These include:

  • Basic Rectangle – A four-sided shape with opposite sides equal. Users can define width and height for precise rectangular construction.

  • Basic Triangle – A three-sided polygon that can be customized by specifying base and height.

  • Basic Trapezoid – A four-sided shape with one pair of parallel sides. Users can adjust base lengths and height for accurate geometry.

  • Basic Rhombus – A four-sided shape where all sides are equal in length. Users can control side length.

  • Basic Pentagon – A five-sided polygon where users can define side length.

  • Basic Hexagon – A six-sided polygon commonly used in engineering and architectural designs. Users can set side length.

  • Basic Octagon – An eight-sided shape often used in stop signs and architectural elements. Users can specify side length.
