TurboCAD includes logging tools that help record application startup information, runtime configuration details, and diagnostic data for troubleshooting and technical support workflows. Logging information can be enabled directly from the Launcher and stored automatically in the Log directory with uniquely generated log file names.

Logging workflows provide easier access to log files, improved runtime visibility, and additional system information for diagnostics and support operations.

Enable Logging

Logging can be enabled directly from the Launcher using the Restart with Logging Enabled control.

When activated:

The control is available when logging mode is currently disabled.

Launcher Controls

  • Restart with Logging Enabled Restarts TurboCAD with logging mode enabled.
  • Open the Log Folder Opens the Log directory in File Explorer for quick access to generated log files.

The Open the Log Folder control becomes available when logging is enabled.

Log File Location

Log files are stored in the predefined Log directory used for diagnostic and crash reporting workflows.

Each generated log file uses a unique file name format containing the creation date and time.

Example:

  • InitLogFile_2026.01.16_21.23.36.txt

The Log directory can be accessed directly through File Locations and Launcher controls for faster access during troubleshooting workflows.

Administrator Rights Information

TurboCAD displays administrator privilege information during runtime and records this information in generated log files.

When TurboCAD is started with administrator privileges:

  • Administrator status is displayed in the Splash Screen
  • Administrator status is shown on the Start Page
  • Administrator information is written to the generated log file

The log file records administrator status using:

  • Administrator: Yes
  • Administrator: No

Administrator privileges can affect access to system directories, plugins, SDK components, and auxiliary tools launched from TurboCAD.
