Installation

System Requirements

This software product runs on Windows and Macintosh computers that satisfy the following requirements.

Macintosh Recommended Requirements

Macintosh® OS 10.10 through 10.14 or higher¹

x64 Intel® Mac®

3 GB of hard disk space

8 GB RAM or greater

Mouse Pointing Device (wheel button recommended)

256 MB VRAM

Minimum System Requirements

Operating System: macOS 11.0 (Big Sur) through macOS 15.0 (Sequoia) or later¹

Processor: Apple Mac with Intel (x64 architecture) or Apple Silicon (M1, M2, or later)

RAM: 8 GB or greater

Hard Disk Space: 4 GB of free disk space for installation

Pointing Device: Mouse with wheel button (recommended) or 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse

Internet Connection: Required for activation, updates, and subscription-based features (if applicable)

Additional Notes

Operating System: ¹ Program compatibility is not guaranteed for earlier operating systems (pre-macOS 11.0) or future unreleased macOS versions.

Optimal Performance: 16 GB RAM and SSD disk for improved handling of large files.

Installation

The application consists of a collection of files and folders extracted from the installer. The installer will decompress the following files and folders:

BackUp

Folder where files are placed when using the Backup options for the application. This folder is located under your user directory.

BOM

ASCII files that serve as templates for Bill of Materials.

DXF

This folder contains a data file used in support of DWG and DXF translations.

Environ

The Environ folder contains a collection of preference files that are used to customize the look and feel of the application. This contains user settings for colors, line fonts, cross hatching, and keyboard short cuts.

Templates

This folder contains a collection of templates that are used to support the Model To Sheet tool.

Strings

The strings folder contains information needed to localize the application for different languages.

Symbols

The Symbols folder contains a collection of files displayed under the Symbol tab of Concept Explorer.

Launching the Product

After installing the software onto your hard disk start the application by:

  1. Double-•clicking the program folder to open it.
  2. Double-•clicking the application icon.

The application will launch and you will be ready to create your first model.
